Committed
To
Academic Excellence

The
Boise State University Foundation was established in
1964 as a non-profit corporation devoted entirely to
the benefit of Boise State University. Its mission
is to raise funds and support for the University's
academic programs, to prudently manage all private
funds donated to the University and to act as an
envoy and link between the University and its
constituencies.
The
Boise State University Foundation is recognized as a tax-exempt
organization under 501 (c)(3) of the Internal
Revenue Code. All contributions to the Foundation
are tax-deductible. The Foundation's funds are
managed by professional fund custodians and
investors whose performance is reviewed quarterly by
a committee of the Boise State University Foundation.
A
board of directors composed of leaders from
business, industry, education and the professions
govern the Foundation's resources and chart its
direction.

Donor Recognition
Alumni and friends who support Boise State's
academic programs are acknowledged by letter and receipt for their gift.
Donors of $1,000 or more are recognized as Chaffee
Associates, the University's premier giving society. Chaffee Associates
are invited to attend academic and social events hosted throughout the
year by the president.
Endowed Scholarship donors also are invited to
attend the annual Scholar/Donor Luncheon each November with their
scholarship recipients.
Chaffee Associates
The Chaffee Associates, named after Boise State's
first president Eugene Chaffee,
is the Boise State University Foundation's premier giving society. The
primary focus of the Chaffee Associates is to:
Recognize the leadership of individuals who provide major financial
support to the University.
Recognize the University's need for private support to ensure quality
and excellence in its academic programs. As a state-assisted university,
Boise State University receives a portion of its budget from the State
of Idaho. Gifts from generous benefactors provide the margin of
excellence over and above state assistance.
Membership Qualifications
Annual membership in the Chaffee Associates
is extended to those who contribute $1,000 or more within a twelve-month
period to the Boise State University Foundation. Gifts may be designated
for restricted or unrestricted use.
Gifts at the Chaffee Associate level
have helped provide funding for:
Scholarships
