MEETING MINUTES

Meeting Called to
Order: Acting President Cathy
Hampton called the meeting to order at approximately 2:10 pm.
Committee Reports
Climate Committee: The draft survey results and recommendations will be turned in this week for Provost Andrews review.
Parking Committee: The committee will not meet during the summer.
Recreation Committee: The committee will not meet during the summer.
ACE Senate
Transfer
Acting President Cathy Hampton relayed information on the contents of the ACE website and passed on folders and information to the new members of ACE. The ACE Senate was passed over to the new President, Gay Barzee, for the 2006/2007 year.
Meeting Schedule
ACE Senate meetings will be held the third Tuesday of each month, September 2006 through June 2007, from 2 to 3 pm.
Compensation
Structure
The change in the compensation structure that was presented to both old and new members of the ACE Senate by BSU Human Resources on June 8, 2006, as a draft, has been approved by Idaho Division of Human Resources. See the website, http://dhr.idaho.gov/stateemployees/compensation.aspx for further information on the changes. The changes will go into effect July 1, 2006. BSU Human Resources is continuing to review some classification changes.
Future Meetings
Mark Wheeler, Associate VP of
Student Affairs, would like to attend a meeting to discuss student
enrollment. Gay will contact him to
schedule a time.
A motion was made and seconded for

The
Association of Classified Employees (ACE) Senate consists of 15 members elected
to represent University classified staff on various committees (including the
President’s Cabinet), to head up special projects, and to keep classified staff
informed on issues that affect us. The ACE Senate meets in the Student Union
the third Thursday of each month from 2 – 3 p.m. during the academic year. All classified staff are welcome to attend
any of the monthly meetings -- just show up!
