Present:
CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION (CEC): The CEC document for BSU has been undergoing scrutiny and revision via the President’s office and HR. The ACE Executive Committee was asked to be involved in the process by Jane Buser. The Executive committee is working to ensure that the interests of classified employees are taken into account and ground is not lost with the policy revisions. Items in the document that promoted inconsistency/inequities, were against policy, or were worded awkwardly are being challenged by ACE, with the committee formulating alternate wording/proposals. The ACE Executive Committee met with our revisions with Randi McDermott, the President’s assistant, and HR to propose our version of the BSU CEC rules. These rules were to go into effect in August, but because of ACE’s concerns, the rules will get further readings/revisions until the final vote at the October President’s Cabinet meeting.
