Ah Fong
Present: Connie Charlton, Rita Nuxoll, Nancy
Rountree, Becky Blank, Lisa Clements, Reida Bow, Rex Hadley, Kenny Wiscombe,
Noreen Camacho, Rhonda Hughes, Gary Myers and Ann Winslow.
Call to Order: President Connie Charlton called the meeting to order at
1:30 p.m.
ACE Officer Resignation: Our Treasurer, Tricia Hyde has moved out
of town and resigned her ACE position. Valencia Garret has agreed to take over
as Treasurer, and a replacement will be found for her senator position.
PRESIDENT’S CABINET: Connie Charlton reported on the July
President’s Cabinet meeting.
The revised
academic form has been approved.
Figures in the budget book are reliable, although spending wisely and
monitoring our own budgets are advised.
Approval was given to move forward with the admission index;
implementation processes are still being developed.
Discussion of
the summer schedule was conducted with a majority consensus that it worked
well. Further discussion to work on the minor problems, such as time for the
computer labs and availability of equipment will be ongoing. They will also
look at the possibility of 4-day summer classes in the future.
More stringent
enrollment management has been approved.
Recreation
Center set for Aug. 31 Grand Opening!
The next cabinet
meeting will be held in September.
Committee
Reports:
Ann Winslow has
volunteered to chair the Emeritus committee.
Connie Charlton
has volunteered to chair the “Outstanding Employee” committee, with presentations
at our annual luncheon in April.
ACE Open House:
Join us in the
Student Union. Take the opportunity to speak with your ACE Representatives and
Officers. Date to be announced.
Spring General Meeting (Annual Luncheon):
We are currently
looking at April 8th, 2003 for this event. Confirmed dates and menu
selections will be provided in the future.
Wanda Lynn
Reilly has asked to make a presentation for “Safety Institute Recognition”. We
were unanimous in our agreement of her request.
