Latest on Legislative / CEC / JFAC issues - This week the House is expected to pass a bill which would fund raises at 4.5% including a 36 cent per hour across-the-board increase.  At this point, the bill is being left in committee in the Senate.  If that continues, the Governor's recommendation of 4.5% (3.5% merit with 1% for salary competitiveness) would probably take effect.  Health insurance rates will probably go up this year and the contract is up for bid for the next year.

Executive Budget Committee representative – Kenny Wiscombe has been appointed to act as the ACE representative on the President’s Executive Budget Committee.

BAA Membership for Football/Basketball TicketsThe BAA's proposal to eliminate grandfather rights in seating was presented to members of each of the employee groups.  The ACE Executive Committee did not support the proposal.
