Latest on Legislative / CEC / JFAC
issues - This week the House is expected to pass a bill which
would fund raises at 4.5% including a 36 cent per hour across-the-board
increase. At this point, the bill is
being left in committee in the Senate.
If that continues, the Governor's recommendation of 4.5% (3.5% merit
with 1% for salary competitiveness) would probably take effect. Health insurance rates will probably go up
this year and the contract is up for bid for the next year.
