ACE SENATE MEETING
MINUTES
NOVEMBER 2, 1999
PRESENT: Lois Santillanes, Connie Charlton, Julie Clarkson, Mike Dome, John Gibbons,
Merrylea Hiemstra, Cindy Lock-Smith, Rita Nuxoll, Nancy Rountree, Sarah Saras, Ann
Winslow. Guest: Bill Ruud
- Call to Order:
President Lois Santillanes called the meeting to order at 3:02 p.m.
- Emeritus Application
: An application for emeritus status was considered and
approved. The application will be forwarded for further action. Hiemstra has contacted
Margene Muller regarding coordination of emeriti processes.
- Marketing Image Committee
– Bill Ruud presented information on what the
Committee is working on and provided an opportunity for input. He stated that classified
staff are welcome to listen in at Marketing Image Committee meetings. The next meeting is
scheduled on November 16 from 8 to 10:30 a.m. in the Hatch D room at the SUB.
- President’s Cabinet
: Santillanes provided a recap of the President’s
Cabinet meeting held on November 1. Dr. Ruch proclaimed the National Association of
Schools and Colleges accreditation visit a big success. A written report will be received
along with NASC recommendations. At its October 23 meeting, the SBOE approved Boise
State’s move to WAC .
