Basic Electrical Safety in the Workplace (ELE-001)
Designed to make employees aware of basic electrical safety in the workplace. Plugs, cords, cables, disconnect switches, hand/power tool safety and other electrical safety requirements. (10 min., 1991, English)  DBP

Electrical Safety Series 1: Electrical Principles (ELE‑004)
This video discusses how electricity works, electrical circuits, proper grounding, and circuit-protection devices. This video series complies with OSHA's Electrical Safety Standard, 1910.331-335. (14 min., 1989, English)  CTT

Electrical Safety Series 2: Avoiding Electrical Hazards (ELE-005)
This video discusses keeping your environment safe, personal protection, safe work procedures, working on energized circuits, working near equipment and lines, and lockout/tagout. It addresses the 1910.332 Electrical Safe Work Practices Standard for Maintenance Workers. Note: It is a general overview only and is not adequate to "qualify" electrical workers. Workers need more specific training such as personal protective equipment training in testing equipment and job site hazard assessment. (19 min., 1989, English)  CTT

Electrical Safety Series 3: Electrical Emergency Response (ELE-006)
This video discusses the effects and levels of shock, first aid procedures, and responding to electrical fires. This video series complies with OSHA's Electrical Safety Standard (1910.331-335). (14 min., 1989, English)  CTT

Electrical Safety Series 4: Fatal Shock - Electrical Case Histories (ELE-007)
This video shows dramatic reenactments of actual incidents and the importance of following proper procedures. It discusses reporting unsafe electrical working conditions, personal protective equipment, and personal verification of lockout/tagout. This video series complies with OSHA's Electrical Safety Standard (1910.331-335) (24 min., 1992, English)  CTT

Electrical Safety-Related Work Practices (ELE‑008K) 1
A training package that outlines the requirements for training employees exposed to electrical hazards. Presents a thorough overview of electrical safety as it pertains to the standard. Topics covered include electrical accidents, qualified and unqualified persons, employee training, work practices covered by the standard, protective equipment, and protective shields and barriers. Includes a manual. (16 min., 1993, English)  CRC

The Electrical Standard: What You Need to Know Training Kit (ELE-013K) 1
This training kit teaches your employees: how to properly work on or near exposed energized and de-energized parts, proper use of illumination and protective equipment, definitions of "qualified" and "unqualified" employees under the standard, proper use of portable electrical equipment, testing procedures, and safeguards for protective equipment. (15 min., 1992, English)  JJK

A Bright Arc … (ELE-020)
Deals with the dangers of working near overhead and underground powerlines. It shows, through dramatic footage and computer animation, what can happen if you or someone on your job site accidentally contacts an energized powerline. The video emphasizes safety through planning. It gives practical advice on how to avoid contact, wheat minimum clearance distances are required, and what to do if you accidentally contact a powerline. (Any requirements are geared to Canada, but generally a good video on powerline safety.) (11 min., 1990, English)  WCBBC

Construction Electrical Safety (ELE-021)
This video is specifically for construction workers and provides fast-paced training. Knowing how to recognize and avoid electrical accidents means escaping injury and possibly even death. Following the procedures highlighted in this video will help protect workers from electrical hazards on the job. Topics: techniques for safe equipment use; making the work environment safe; responding to an accident. (10 min., 1993, English)  CTT

Ground-Fault Protection on Construction Sites (ELE‑022)
This video provides information about shock and electrocution hazards and how these can be reduced through proper grounding. Discussion of OSHA standard on ground-fault protection at construction sites. (13 min., 1988, English)  OSHA

Bonding and Grounding (ELE-002)
A short video describing how static electricity causes sparks and shows the grounding techniques while using gasoline. (5 min., 1996, English)  DBP

Take Charge: Work Safely with Temporary Electricity (ELE-023)
This video has been developed to train construction employees how to work safely around temporary electricity. (17 min., 1991, English)  AGCA

Electrical Safety: Beware the Bite! (ELE-024K) 1
A sudden and unexpected electrical shock is like the bite of a poisonous snake! This Toolkit shows workers how to protect themselves from this controllable hazard and what to do if danger strikes. The toolkit contains the video, Electrical Safety: Beware The Bite!, employee handbooks, a leader’s guide and several overhead transparency masters. Topics include: conductivity; levels of protection; safe work practices; lockout/tagout; personal protective equipment; emergency response. (20 min., 1996, English)  CTT

Electrical Safety: Real, Real Life (ELE-025K) 1
This video program is designed to provide important information about safe work practices when working with or around electricity. The interactive video program focuses on how employees can protect themselves from injuries – or even fatalities. Includes employee handbooks, pocket reference cards and a Leader’s Guide. Topics include: awareness, attitude, action; conductivity; safe work practices; PPE; using GFCI’s. (13 min., 1998, English)  CTT

Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (ELE-026) q
